    Work

    Anonymous (Current Employee)

ProsCo workers here offer the best in team atmosphere. No one here works alone or struggles to keep their head above water. Someone is always available to help

ConsThe challanges of working here include a manager that manages on the tattle tale principal. It often creates a working environment that is uncomfortable and has resulted in a mass exodus of staff in recent weeks

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

ProsGreat 2x IRA match! Smart and engaging colleagues and some schedule flexibility.

ConsPassive aggressive bosses. Also the "good ole boy" network seems to be alive and well here and there is limited academic freedom.

    IT Manager

IT Manager (Current Employee) Lexington-Fayette, KY

ProsVery open and friendly environment. New management structure is more rigid and focused on metrics. Lots of change.

ConsAs momentum has been made on implementing change, less focus has been on the value of the metrics, and actually making something happen. Student perspective is less about the name change of the departments or how they are organized. They care about their use of infrastructure to gain their education. The starving lower levels of support and technology maintenance teams are left wondering about the value of "change".

Advice to Senior ManagementLess Chiefs, more Indians! Think customer, less change. Sharpen services before being cutting edge. Don't become satisfied with "good" or even "average." Do core services great!

    Working at SRC

Phone Interviewer (Current Employee) Lexington-Fayette, KY

Prosonly requires 3 shifts per week (usually evening) and 4 weekend shifts a month (friday eve, sat morning, or sunday daytime). The environment is very laid back, easy going supervisors and co-workers. The work is very easy

ConsNot a good place to work full time or depend for anything more than 20hrs a week, SRC can run out of numbers to call and people will stop working for a few weeks. It's difficult to get day shifts from 12-4pm, and the hours are pretty rigid.
