I worked at University of Kentucky full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Great health insurance package, professional colleagues, constant development/projects going on around campus. Lot's of service opportunities available around town. Town is not too big or too busy, horse racing and college basketball are big deals.

    Cons

City gets crazy with students and town folks rampaging especially after the men's basketball games (win or lose :) ) during the NCAAB tournament. Steer clear of State Street and South Limestone on game nights.
    Overall good place.

I have been working at University of Kentucky full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

My pay was ok, benefits were good, and there was little stress in the office space. Have worked in worse places.

    Cons

Office politics were pretty big there, affected a lot of projects. You have to deal with legacy code constantly, so if you enjoy that, more power to you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Improve the culture of your offices. Do something fun every once in a while. It would help with morale.
