    Pros

In Lincoln, NE the cost of living is reasonable and the University of Nebraska Lincoln has top of the line resources and great advisors.

    Cons

The location take awhile to get used to with no international airport nearby, however I do like everything about the University itself.

    Advice to Management

Continue to encourage young scientists to publish early and present their work at as many national and international conferences as possible.

    Pros

Working here as an intern was very challenging and provided me with a great opportunity to learn about the inner-workings of non-profit organizations. The people are great and they work very hard to keep the laid back culture that helps people thrive here. People are generally always happy and always approachable with any questions or comments. As an intern, I was even approached by upper management about comments and concerns with the current way of operation.

    Cons

While it was challenging for the first year, it became monotonous after a while.

    Advice to Management

Continue to work hard to not let the culture morph into the cold corporate feel that other employers suffer from.

    Pros

It fits in perfectly with class schedule. You can give a tour between classes. The management is very approachable and helpful. They are easy to forgive mistakes and provide advice for improvement. Honors tour guides get many nice perks, such as lunches and reserved tours. More hours too.

    Cons

It is a feeding frenzy at times when there are more tour guides than tours. It's first come first serve, so if you do not arrive 15 minutes early, you probably won't get a tour. They have hired to many people. Few people get more than 5 hours a week.

    Advice to Management

Work more diligently to find people that can definitely work the times you need instead of the shotgun approach of hiring almost everyone expecting many to quit. A big reason people quit is because hours are too few.

    Pros

You get great experience and hands on learning with some very established faculty members. On top of the experience, you get paid $8/hr which is a plus. You have to apply for the funding for both the 1st year and 2nd year.

    Cons

In reality, $8/hr isn't much. But it's unusual because you gain great academic experience while getting paid. Some work can be repetitive and boring.

    Advice to Management

They're great. Really care about the learning experience.
