    Pros

I've learned beneficial library resource knowledge and made great friends while working at the University's library.

    Cons

The pace can quickly change from boring to busy. It can be quite stressful when a supervisor is bearing down on you at the same time.

    Advice to Management

Try to stay positive and keep the student's life in mind.

    Pros

Lots of downtime which is good for homework. Boss is easy to work with. Donut fridays are cool. workplace culture is good.

    Cons

Can be difficult to assess some issues. Lots of small rules to memorize. Irate users happen relatively frequently. You'll just have to deal with them.

    Advice to Management

Pretty much no advice. The problems i have with the job aren't really something that can be easily fixed. My supervisor already takes our advice.

    Pros

The academic staff are all friendly and helpful. No problems meeting up with people or getting guidance despite busy workloads.

    Cons

Pay rates are not substantial (but hey your working at a university). Some of the admin staff have obviously been around too long and don't want to be there any longer.

    Advice to Management

Better hiring procedures to get the proper people in the executive administrative roles within the university as a whole could have prevented the current financial crisis.
