    Pros

Very nice environment, campus and people. Workload was not too hard, perhaps even a little light. The pay was good especially for Nottingham.

    Cons

Career progression moves at a glacial pace. Communication and interaction between departments is lacklustre at best

    Advice to Management

Focus more on new starters and define a clear career progression and goals to achieve in order to move forward. More training opportunities to learn beneficial skills would also be well recieved.

    Pros

The University of Nottingham is based at an easily accessible location, with good transport links. Overall, it is a good place to work.

    Cons

There is no scope for change many processes are archaic. There is no flexibility, some managers make people with other commitments uncomfortable. Pay scales aren't great

    Pros

Enjoyed the working environment, interesting lectures and seminars and some really inspirational teachers. I also worked with some inspiring students.

    Cons

Not enough hours, although this was dependant on the students and what they required so in a sense could not be helped.

    Advice to Management

It may be wise to attempt to try and source some more funding from somewhere in order to expand the support available, although you may disagree.

    Pros

Very flexible, work offered on a "sign up if you're available" basis to work around studies and lecture commitments. Managers/full-time staff very friendly and accommodating. You get to meet and work with a wide variety of people from many different places.

    Cons

You'll sometimes find yourself waiting around, often I felt shift start times were too early compared to when events would actually be taking place. You may have everything setup with an hour to kill before visitors even started turning up.
