    Pros

very good opportunity to build your resume for applying to graduate school. very good pay compared to other part-time jobs that normally hire students.

    Cons

you need to know the professor very well before he/she would hire you for a project, because they usually just hire their graduate students and usually there is not very many positions for undergraduate students.

    Advice to Management

the work culture really depends on your supervisor. some professors are very friendly, and you will become very good friends with them.

    Pros

Flexible hours and working from home possible. Working under a very good supervisor who is very open to ideas and enthusiastic about outcomes. I'm being paid to further my education and work on topics that I'm very interested in, I am definitely lucky. The entire mechanical engineering department is very helpful and open, if I have questions the faculty is always helpful and willing to share their knowledge.

    Cons

Shared basement office, outdated lab equipment, limited summer TA opportunities.

    Pros

This is a well-known university with a high level of education quality. Studying in Ottawa also provides students an opportunity to experience Canadian culture in capital city.

    Cons

Language is the first problem, and culture difference is also a trouble to all international students.

    Advice to Management

Making some friends from different countries can help a lot in my opinion. Those compatriots who had lived in Canada for several years will offer international students useful advices and relevant experiences in all kinds of aspects.
