I have been working at VWR International full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Most leadership is progressive / proactive in supporting and fostering a strong team core. Strong emphasis on cross training and skills improvements

    Cons

Upper / senior management seems lacking in understanding some of their own core values. Although there is cross training, often it's only to cover people out sick. Does not encourage growth and career advancement, falls flat. HR department not in tune with field and site employees

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Encourage and provide real world training and advancement opportunities. Don't just talk about it.

I worked at VWR International as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

Worked a 6 month contract at one of their sites. Kind and knowledgeable supervisor. Positive work environment. Reasonable expectations and workload. Okay pay for work done.

I worked at VWR International as a contractor for less than a year

    Pros

The office has a very wholesome vibe. Health is valued there; workouts a the company gym are encouraged and there's free fruit on site daily. (The cafeteria is really good too.) The people are smart and talented and friendly.
