I worked at VWR International part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Our big boss. He would walk around the call center area and greet you and asked how you were doing. He wasn't just our big boss who watched over our supervisors and kept himself in his office. He really cared for each person.

    Cons

The office drama that happens in a work place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Always make yourself known to everyone and show that you care, and in return your employees will care too. Always make sure your supervisors are always available when someone needs them.

    I worked at VWR International

    Pros

Great organization. Lots of opportunity to grow and move into different functions. Management team is pretty good and respects your opinion. Of course there are some challenging folks, but all in all a nice place to call home.

    Cons

Corporate seems a bit out of touch with the rest of the business units. Not a very well structured training program, but if you have drive, you will succeed.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Let the areas run more autonomous. Different parts of the country run differently.

The people! People are friendly, intelligent and hard working (for the most part). Work is interesting, company is up and coming, great work life balance. Trying hard to bring in top talent

    Cons

Company is in transition - growing fast, which is good, but still need to replace some associates who aren't willing to change with the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep the change coming, and keep bringing in new staff who can handle it.
