    Pros

Valeant is a good place to work if you consider the pay and the benefits. There is also a good sense of autonomy. The company is demanding and shareholders always come first. I'm not saying that is good or bad. It's just the way it is.

    Cons

You can take my above statement as a con as well. It just depends on the type of job you are looking for and what you value.

    Cons

Low investment in brands and employee development

    Advice to Management

The company's focus on short term growth and will hurt the potential for sustainable growth

    Pros

    Decent pay and good hours.

    Cons

Can often be boring. Because of their philosophy of being lean and efficient, it often forces people to pretend that they are constantly busy.

    Advice to Management

Treat your employees and customers better.

I have been working at Valeant

    Pros

    co-workers are very nice.
Compensation is one par for the work being done.

    Cons

Dirtier than I would expect a pharmaceutical plant to be.
I am having a hard time finding people to trust here, my direct manager seems like a snake.
Everyone seems to really dislike it there because there benefits were cut back, but i think the benefits are okay.

    Pros

Employees on-site are very friendly and helpful. There is laid-back culture, however the job gets done and the goals are met.

    Cons

No HR on-site; upper management are in the East Coast so quite often feel that there is no cohesion. Acquisitions lead to "synergy", which means software systems and quality systems are scrapped or half-hazardly merged together. Very "dynamic" company.

    Advice to Management

Too many chiefs, not enough indians.

    Pros

Pay for performance, job does not get stagnant, benefits are good, products are excellent. You have to be very good at getting the job done with less resources.

    Cons

Communication wasn't always the best and often the sales force felt their needs weren't heard. Always in a state of acquisition and needs of the field are not always a priority.

    Pros

There are always opportunities to learn. The environment is very fast-paced. The company offers stock options, which are a very good incentive.

    Cons

The company is in perpetual transition and does not complete the integraton of one company before moving on to the next. The company operates under an extremely lean model, constantly downsizing and streamlining forcing everyone to be spread too thinly.

    Advice to Management

Management should allow sufficient time between major acquisitions.
