A little overworked, a little underpaid

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsI really like our foundation, the message that we stand behind, and the product that we deliver. I am very proud to be apart of that. They offer outstanding benefits and are relatively flexible with the work-life balance.

ConsManagement seems a little dated- no one leaves the company and no one new is brought in for fresh ideas.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

Solid company with 65 year history in Silicon Valley.

Senior Project Manager (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

ProsOne of the first Silicon Valley companies, with a long history of innovative, high quality products. Truly, strives to add customer value.

ConsOver the years the company has grown extremely conservative, sluggish and "corporate". The present company is NOT for those who want a dynamic, fast-paced tech company.

Advice to Senior ManagementGo back to the company's and founder's roots and bring the company back to the leading edge of human and social capital theory, and more aggressive product revolution.

My experience has been mixed. I have had great times but now I am getting burnt out.

Commodity Specialist (Current Employee) Palo Alto, CA

ProsThere is a lot of stability. The office culture is still stuck in the 70s-80s.

ConsThe salaries are not very competative for Silicon Valley however the benefits are fine and the stock does well.

Advice to Senior ManagementIn the past year there have been many additions to the management in Supply Chain but few or no workers to get the job done. The organization is also full of nepotism.

    Good solid company.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsSolid company, good technology and research, most employees work very hard and help each other out. Seems to be very stable and in a niche market so there are not wild swings like in the semi-conductor industry. Great technical training.

ConsNiche market so growth and opportunities can be slow coming, not as good as at larger companies like Philips or GE.
