Boca Raton, FL

Former Employee – worked at Verio full-time for more than 7 years

ProsWorked with really smart and great people. The company in the early 2000's cared a lot about the employees and keeping us happy. Ping ping, pool, food and drinks. A lot of learning options too.

ConsCliquish at times, and the company went in many different business directions. Exec team changes as often as some people change their underwear... Lots of re-orgs etc. Constant fear of layoffs at the time.

Former Employee – worked at Verio

ProsGood benefits, free web hosting, friendly people. Got to travel to Miami for training. People are passionate about technologies, which is good because they're so engaged. Verio tends to have a positive reputation, generally speaking. The company as a whole was moving in the right direction.

ConsNo more public stock options. The company was going through growing pains and it was hard to find advancement opportunities. It was only when I told them I planned on leaving that I was offered more pay. It would have been nice to have been offered more pay up front instead of having to find a better job offer first.

Advice to Senior ManagementKeep working on server uptime to reach superior levels. Some of the servers don't function at the enterprise level. Provide more information about the company's strategies and direction.
