    Pros

Good benefits, vacation & sick day policy generous

    Cons

No advancement, constant layoffs, employees and management have been there so long without challenges that they act in an "institutionalized" manner

    Advice to Management

Understand you have to make profit, however, should show some respect to employees and care about growth and contribution to company.

    Pros

Base salary versus experience was good.

    Cons

Sales compensation and horrible business model execution. Systems inferiror for sales closures and contract building. Constant push back from internal external departments in resolving or assiting with any type of implementaton or sales issues.

    Advice to Management

Follow the business model and train your mid level managers to help close high percentile sales, develop better methods and procedures processes. Finally, develop better implementation and cross company MCI/Verizon territoy plans to assist with sales.

    Pros

I would not recommend this company to an outsider. However, in the interest of being positive, below are some Pros.

NOTE: THE BELOW ARE ONLY PROS FOR LONG-TERM EMPLOYEES:
    - Long term employees have accrued decent vacation time
    - Long term employees know how to stay below the radar so they are not laid off in November or December (Key lay off times for the company.)

    Cons

    - Company removed ALL coffee pots from break rooms to cut down on cost
     - Employees cannot order supplies (pens, folders)
     - No discount given to Verizon Business employees for Verizon cell phones. (Most employees have an AT&T contract.) Only Verizon Wireless employees get a phone discount - not Verizon Business employees.
     - Employees receive, on average a 2% - 3% raise / year.
     - Flextime is a management decision (not company). Some departments support flex time and working from home. Others do not.
     - Verizon has at least 2 major layoffs/year. (One at Thanksgiving and one at Christmas.) It's always interesting to see who remains employed.

    Advice to Management

Return the coffee; it's a minor thing but just one of many which gets employees down.
Give Verizon cell phone discounts to all employees. Why would I recommend a phone and/or service I am currently not using?
Set company policies regarding working from home and flextime. Allow employees to work from home. Generally, employees who would surf the internet at home do it in the office anyway.

    Pros

benefits, being around latest technology, work around great people, can be fun at times

    Cons

You are valuable until you do not meet the insane goals they set. you are replaceable. No accountability for those making the rules. The benefits, pay, commision structure, sales targets and everything else is going in the wrond direction. Everyday you work expect to hear something negative, and then watch everybody above try to put a positive spin on it.

    Advice to Management

Understand the job in which you set goals and tell other people to do. Do not be so detatched. It can be hard to follow a leader that has no idea of what the job requires or that knew it 5-10 years ago. Especially in an industry that changes on a daily basis.
