    Pros

None that I can think of

    Cons

Low pay and treat staff like a sweat shop. This is America. No respect for staff and contractors are treated like scum

    Advice to Management

Wise up or you will have no one decent working there soon.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits are really good. The pay is really competitive. Great training programs and opportunity to learn. Network coverage is really good. Nationwide company.

    Cons

Micro management from top down. Unrealistic goals. More focus on doing what's right for the company, then what's right for the customer. Advancement opportunities are limited, it's not what you know it's who you know.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on what's right for the customer. If you track performance and coach to poor performance employees will do what's right for them so they don't get in trouble. This comes at a cost to the customer, being forced to purchase something they may not need, or were lied to. Also, look at demographics. Not all stores have the same customers. Saying all stores should be able to be at the same level is unrealistic.

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Your customers make it tolerable, it's only saving grace at all. Cellcom has better benefits and pay. Team Wireless is run by drunks and liars

    Cons

Bad management, horrible liars and drunks. They get rid of all their good employees and promoter unethical liars and pedophiles.

    Advice to Management

Get your stories straight. Quit stealing from your employees

    Pros

Good benefits: health/life/dental insurance, tuition assistance.

    Cons

Great amount of stress, depressing work environment, long hours, poor pay, no opportunity for advancement (no matter how hard you work or your seniority) unless you know somebody, no recognition for effort - only criticism (and not a constructive one); absolutely No work/life balance; constant discrimination (if you're not a favorite you're treated as a slave). I don't understand how this company won so many awards as one of the top employers for women or for being pro work/life balance because non of this is actually happening (promoting women or ensuring that your requested days off are approved - company matters comes first all the time no matter how long in advance you requested your days off. Your managers are kinds and queens and you must do as they dictate otherwise you are being written off.

    Advice to Management

Stop dictating left and right and stop and think first before you jump to conclusions.

I have been working at Verizon Wireless full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The training is good expect for Lindsey LaPlaca. She loves to hear herself talk and it was a nightmare but the others trainers were excellent.

    Cons

Just Awful. Cut throat colleagues who will steal your sale in a NY moment. Management encourages you to lie for example tell a customer that they get a free jet pack today with their phone. They will tell you not to mention all the fees involved and throw you under the bus when the customer comes back irate.

    Advice to Management

Learn integrity and get more honest. Do not say that in orientation day for show purposes only. I wish I never applied to this scam company

I worked at Verizon Wireless full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Excellent training except for Lindsey LaPaca. Loves to hear herself talk.

    Cons

Shady unethical. Management requirements lie to make a sale. Management makes you lie and shove tons of accessories down the customers throat and sell jetpack and being told they are free with promotions which is not true.
