Comfortable Work Environment

Copy Specialist (Current Employee)
New York, NY

I have been working at Viacom full-time for more than a year

ProsThe company really likes to take care of their employees. The benefits are great and there's a lot of hands on family fun incorporated throughout the year. The people you work with on a day to day basis really add to the experience. Starting at the company, teams are very welcoming and dedicate the time to help in training and that you're on the right path.

ConsIt could be difficult at times to grow internally from one department to another. Informationals are a great way to gain some knowledge and meet new people you work with.

Great company to work for!

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)
New York, NY

I worked at Viacom as an intern for less than a year

ProsPeople are very friendly. Get hands on experience. Was able to attend focus groups as an intern. Learned how to developed surveys, questionnaires and create season wrap-ups. Attending interesting meetings with executive staff members.

ConsNetworks and segments are somewhat divided. Did not always have a lot of work as an intern. Did not meet many people outside my segment.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave the interns work on a final project or get involved with Viacom's community service.
