Current Employee – been working at Viasystems
Pros – Good upper management skills in the US operation.
Well thought out business opportunities.
Opportunity to learn new skills and grow with company.
Cons – Poor upper management skills in Asia operation.
Lack of concern, regard for employees lives outside of work.
Mistaking movement for progress.
Advice to Senior Management – It would be nice if upper management would consider bringing some of the business back to the US. While the "Bottom line" looks better up front with business in Asia, believe this is misleading. The expense of missed deliveries, frustration and poor treatment of US vendors, has caused a real crisis here in the real world. The fact that we are now using more and more vendors from China and surrounding countries, is a real issue.

Former Employee – worked at Viasystems
Pros – Company grew out of some major electronics manufacturer, the culture is very diverse and I found it a good mix.
Cons – As it is still adapting to its past phenomenal growth, it sometimesw has a fair amount of package that it carries around.
Advice to Senior Management – Keep on working to grow this company and the costs will continuously improve. The employees are still a great asset to the business.
Yes, I would recommend this company to a friend
