Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores full-time
Pros – Tons of overtime & doubletime if you're in an elevated position.
Cons – No work-life balance. Partially my fault...
After working 18 hours, get a call to come help spit-shine the store before surprise visits (that never happens)!
Honestly, it's hard to get promoted. Just have to remember to keep your head up, push through the on-calls because it'll pay off.
Study the standards book and be that over-achiever (in order to get promoted)!
Advice to Senior Management – Remember: You're part of the management team -- stop the gossip. Step it up, keep your team motivated.

Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for more than a year
Pros – Great perks when new product comes out. Great opportunity for growth.
Cons – We do not get paid enough.
Advice to Senior Management – The managers of the store usually gossiped a lot maybe have rules on the headset stating strictly business.

Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores as a contractor for less than a year
Pros – You get an employee discount (on anything that isn't already discounted) and you get to see new products before they hit the sale floor.
Cons – They told all of the seasonal people working shipping processing that we would be kept. They did not keep any of us. Also every time you get off work a manager has to check your purse or jacket.
The managers also had arguments over what came first in the color code. Red or Pink? The world may never know.
Advice to Senior Management – 1. Trust your employees more
2. Take the time to train your employees

Former Employee – worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for less than a year
Pros – Awesome employee perks - 30% discount, freebies every month, $10-$20 bundles of new items
Great brand, easy to sell
Cons – Doesn't train employees well, but expect the workers to be perfect
Lack of communication
Inevitable gossip and drama
Advice to Senior Management – Invest in your employees more. Though appearance is important, try to make them want to come in dressed their best because you make them feel their best rather than telling them they dont fit in. Honey works better than vinegar. Support the work they do right rather than only acknowledging them when they mess up. I liked working here, but I was never able to talk to my manager about how to improve, she just yelled at me when I messed up. The manager had high expectations, but I wished she would have been nicer to me. She seemed to have favorites that hardly worked, I actually wanted to learn. Had she tried to get to know me more and coach me even a little, I would have been more inclined to help her store succeed because she helped me.

Current Employee – been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for less than a year
Pros – You get a discount on merchandise and gratis' which include a free seasonal bra and/or highly discounted bra, panty, perfume etc. You can also continue to use your Angel Rewards.
Cons – The managers in my store are rude, stuck up and have attitudes. They talk down to the associates. There was recently a "meeting" after an 11 hour shift in which the associates felt personally attacked by the managers. An associate started crying.
Advice to Senior Management – Please treat your associates with respect.

Former Employee – worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time for less than a year
Pros – -30% discount, free gratis bras
-seeing new products come in
Cons – -girls were awful, not friendly AT ALL
-would be scheduled closing shift and get off at midnight and then be scheduled to open the next morning at 5!!
-working long ridiculous hours
-floor sets SUCK, working 8PM-6AM moving things around the store
-not paid enough for the work they expect of you
-CLEANING, scrubbing the toliet, floors, etc. DISGUSTING
Advice to Senior Management – Treating people the same instead of playing favorites would be a good place to start. And maybe hire someone who is specifically for cleaning instead of making sales associates clean.
