    Pros

The discount, making others feel good about themselves, you will learn a lot about selling and making the customer happy (customer service)

    Cons

Not much cons, hours getting cut and closing shifts can go past 10-11pm

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

-it's fun: you get to know the girls you're working with, it becomes a fun environment
    - makes you feel good: people look to you for help, it's stereotypical that you have to be pretty or sexy to work there so customers look to you and see what that "looks" like.
-easy: how hard is it to fold a pair of panties or sensor a sweater. It's easy work and all so organized for you.
    - it's competitive: you have SPAH goals where it just tracks what percentage of the sales you've made for the day. You want the highest number of sales because it looks good for you, looks good to people higher up and makes the company look good as well.
    - the discount: regaurdless of what store in the company you work at, you're getting a discount. And at Victoria's Secret a 30% discount will go a long way.
-gratises: no other company gives their employees gratises which are a list of free or extremely low priced items. For example: this month employees get a totally free PINK bundle which is a campus bra and panties. Normally 40$. But that's not all we always gEt more.

    Cons

-some negative people: as with any job working with someone who is negative makes for a miserable work experience
    - people who don't care: when you have people who don't care about their job, it makes it more monotonous because you find you're constantly redoing things that have already been done.

I have been working at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling, Decent Pay, Emphasis on training associates and maintaining skills throughout employment. Great discounts when new products are launched and free beauty samples. The management is invested in each associate, and hard work doesn't go unnoticed. There is continual training to ensure each associate is up to date with brand standards and to provide clients with a seamless and consistent experience in every store. Online scheduling and taking time off is both a pro and con, great system but must request time off three weeks in advance. Great culture and values.

    Cons

Some stores have little to no room for higher career opportunities, also if sales goals are not met, associate hours can be cut on short notice. There is no commission, but there is sales tracking, and if you do not meet set 'sales per associate hour' you will not get as many hours as others who are exceeding their SPAH.

I worked at Victoria's Secret Stores part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

My experience comes from Houston-Galleria VS. I was originally hired seasonal but if your schedule is flexible enough they usually keep you if you're a reliable worker. This was my first job and they were flexible with my college schedule. I was hired part-time but was often hitting anywhere from 30-38 hours a week. Great job if you like getting all dolled up. New employees get a $15 bra of their choice and 10 panties of their choice for $26. Every month you'll also get an employee gratis. Most consist of $15 bras, sometimes free with a try on and feedback, free lipgloss, free body mist, 50% off 5 VSX items when new styles are released, etc. Managers are great and have great relationships with their co-workers, no one is unsatisfied with their manager. Galleria work often busy especially when they're Free items with purchase with is great, more business means more scheduled hours for you!

    Cons

Schedules are never consistent they change every week. Sometimes you'll work 10am-6pm or 2-close 4-close. If they don't make their segments you'll get days off or only work for about 4 hours so your paycheck varies every 2 weeks.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I love their energy. Due do high velocity days, rude customers or theft they sometimes have bad days but they're never disrespectful to employees. Close relationships with managers isn't uncommon, everyone becomes like family.

    Pros

First off, Limited Brands is a great company (or L. Brands as they are now called). I love working with and feeling like I actually am helping people, its very rewarding to have someone tell you that something that you have done has literally changed their life... In my store, everyone i work with is so amazing, we have very little drama and its like working with your best friends. The connections you make with customers is also amazing. Bra shopping is a very personal experience and you feel that real connection and trust with our customers and most times they come back and ask to work with you again, I've even had a customer ask for my phone number so that she could text me and make sure i was working every time she planned to come shop with us.

    Cons

Well I'm part time so I dont get any benefits or anything but I've worked there for over a year and have yet to become full time, which I have expressed the desire to multiple times. So i feel like, at least in my store, its very hard to move up and grow with the company. I've been told that they would make me full time numerous times and again it has yet to happen... You also get some snooty clientele but i think that's almost everywhere. Sometimes communication between management isn't the best either. Changing your availability can also be difficult, I've known a number of people who have tired and it either got denied or they approved the change and started getting scheduled way less.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

My advice to management would be to have better communication between other SLT members and with the associates as well. I would also advise not making empty promises such as telling someone that they would be put into a full time spot and not fulfilling it...
