Company is going downhill. Still performing well but employees are demotivated and unhappy.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

ProsGood benefits, work is interesting. Company is a leader in its industry and employees feel proud about that. New systems being put in place should ultimately have a positive result on workload and processes.

ConsManagement is completely disconnected with the rest of its employees. New management that has been brought in over the last few years is trying to redefine the company and its culture. No value for the long history of success. Ridiculous expectations being set in accounting and IS departments.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop hiring all new people and firing those who have worked hard to build company.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    Old boys club...nepotism, nepotism, nepotism

N/A (Former Employee) New York, NY

ProsGreat benefits (in the looooooong run). If you can tolerate being another suit in a ship full of Borg.

ConsThe entire office culture is based on white, uptight, frat boys from family connections, stuffy Arian from Darien clubs and socialite wannabes with little to no intellectual curiosity to navigate real world business.

Advice to Senior ManagementAdd mandatory diversity training to all levels of employees, including the Board and Executive Committee. The old fogey stogie era is over...it's time to get with the new. The CEO is yet another relative of William P. Carey.

    "Micromanagement nightmare"

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) New York, NY

    Pros-Good benefits
    -Best company in the industry
    -Very smart, caring, co-workers

    Cons-Long hours
    -Extreme micromanagement
-Poor sales management and very little awareness of whats going on on the ground level
-Management likes to get rid of people very regularly to keep people on their toes

Advice to Senior Management-Learn to spend a little more time with the sales team. The effort is noted, but easy to see right through the veil.
