I worked at W. R. Grace as an intern (less than a year)

    Pros

Some of my colleagues were really passionate about what they did and sincerely wanted to provide the best service for customers. Pay was also good and the company tries to treat their employees well.

    Cons

Some colleagues were pretty bitter about previous layoffs. Also, I did not find my work challenging but was not given much opportunity to grow in my position. H.R. was disorganized and my start date was significantly delayed.

    Cons

Very unstable company. There has been layoffs within the last 5 years. And they have not replaced anybody who has left on there own accord.

I have been working at W. R. Grace full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The people at the company are great. For the most part the hours are flexible adn the work is challenging. The company is focused on alot of training and making the employee aware of safety.

    Cons

There aren't too many growth opportunities to the true workers for the company. That is unfortunate. Most of the workers are rated in reviews and those reviews may not tell the true story of an employees efforts. We are very top heavy when it comes to the types of jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at the peple who are working day in and out for upward management growth. Promotion opportunities need to be made to the mid line workers.
