    Pros

Grace is a great place to work.
The culture is very open, people are nice and there is a lot of cross-function projects, where you can broaden your scope and learn how to work with teams. There are events for employees to gather and interact.
Besides that, it has extensive parking, a subsidized cafeteria with great food, a well equipped gym and it's very close to the red line.

    Cons

The company does not sponsor international candidates.

    Pros

Great internship program. Learned how the chemical processing industry works and got hands on experience.

    Cons

Not exactly clear how the internship is meant to lead to employment contract. Need paths for moving upward.

    Advice to Management

Continue growing the internship program and make paths forward towards employment

    Pros

Well established and respected company in its fields. Very good benefits and career advancement potential, coupled with down to earth people and open door policy at all levels make it one of the better places I've worked at.

    Cons

Not a big brand recognition outside of its industries. Grace has been in Chapter 11 for 7 years, not due to financial distress, but to protect itself from asbestos liability. Much of the newer Sr Leadership was bred at General Electric, bringing in too much short term P&L focus for a company that works in long industry cycles.

    Advice to Management

Get a long term strategy in place. Focus more on leadership and a vision and less on month to month P&L management.
