Stable Company since 1901

Store Manager (Former Employee)
Austin, TX

I worked at Walgreens full-time for more than 5 years

ProsMy time as a Walgreens General Manager was a wonderful experience. Great benefits, fair compensation, lots of flexibility in managing your staff.

ConsGrowth has slowed drastically. After General Manager, there are very few opportunities for promotion.

Advice to Senior ManagementLet your General Managers have more flexibility in scheduling. We should not be mandated to open 4 days per week (8a-5p). Working a mid-shift (10a-7p), if the General Manager is willing, strengthens overall presence for both morning and evening shifts, and might better serve the customer needs at various locations.
