    Great Company

Money Center Associate (Former Employee) Torrance, CA

ProsThe company was a great place to work. The benefits were super awesome, and the environment was high pace.

ConsI felt like they only offered management positions to their relatives and not to people who actually deserve the position. I sometime felt like their was alot of favoritism towards hispanics when it came to handing out promotions. I felt like I had to beg to get fulltime while others had it handed to them on a silver platter.

ProsManagement is very approachable. They will take the time to listen to you. My schedule is perfect for me right now. It allows me time to care for my dad. Nice, friendly associates.

ConsWish I had better more affordable choices for health care.

Not as bad as the movie makes them out ot be

Maintenance Associate (Former Employee) Lancaster, CA

ProsThe truth is that there are definitely opportunities to move up. Several managers came up to me telling me that they were going to do everything they could to get me into their department where my skills would be better suited. If you work hard the managers who matter will notice. There was even a man from home office who came out and noticed my work ethic right away.

ConsMy department manager made it his life purpose to keep me in his rotation because I was one of the few who had a good work ethic. Eventually I got out of the hole and into a better position.

Walmart is a good company to work for.

Department Manager (Current Employee) Anaheim, CA

ProsThere is room for growth here. There are many possible ways to go with this corporation.

ConsAlthough walmart started out being a family 5 and dime but it has grown into a huge conglomeration. The problem sometimes it's that you lose the personal part of the business that believe that walmart has lost.

Advice to Senior ManagementUpper management needs to look at who they are promoting.
