    Pros

    free beverages
    semi flexible working hours
good benefits but only for those averaging close to 40 hours
profit sharing but again hourly restricted

    Cons

Third shift is still invisible unless they do something wrong. This job isn't worth it unless you are in high school and living with your parents or you are on salary as a manager.

    Advice to Management

    Remember where you came from.

    Pros

They have had a successful business model. Great first job.

    Cons

Worked there for years (in management capacity) and could never align with the culture. If you want strange - work there.

    Advice to Management

I think the company is heading for trouble.

    Pros

    The food is decent
    customers can be fun
co-workers can be fun as well

    Cons

Management turnover is awful, have not even worked here for a year and have had four different GMs already
Video training is useless, and the managers offer little to no help training you in-store.
They promise you promotions that you never receive
no structured break time, my breaks have been cut short quite often

    Advice to Management

Be more accommodating and worry about someone else besides yourself for once. Stay at a store for more than a few months. Dont offer promises you cannot keep.

    Pros

Most employees are pleasant to work with and the customers are usually great too. This all varies from location to location however

    Cons

Everything related to your success within Wawa will come down to what your General Manager is like. Unfortunately, my General Manager was not willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to training and leadership development. Wawa's training is video based, which is highly ineffective in my opinion. The only real way to develop your skills at Wawa is to be put in the position to do so. I was consistently promised to be trained in certain areas of stores only to be let down when they kept me on register the entire day or just gave me trash duties. Wawa needs to put a system in place to provide feedback on General Managers. My first General Manager was truly awful and dreadful to work with. I left to work at another store and worked for 3 different managers within a matter of 4 months.

    Advice to Management

Offer your skills to help the customer service associate to develop themselves. Most managers I worked under completely lacked perspective-taking skills and did not understand or take the time to address the problems the associates were having. They seemed to be caught up only in developing themselves, and did not "VALUE PEOPLE" by living up to the core values of Wawa. I was promised almost every day I went into work that I was going to start training in a new area in the store only to be disappointed when it never happened. Wawa's weakest area is definitely in training. They have video training that is pretty useless and you never retain any of the information. There is virtually no in-store training making it extremely difficult to make yourself an asset to the organization.

    Pros

Highest paid in the industry and great facilities; great training!

    Cons

Nepotism, Directors need to keep a better eye on their Area Managers. They're either sleeping with their GMs or hooking up their buddies.

    Advice to Management

The corporate folks have no clue what goes on in their stores outside the Philadelphia area. Start digging into your AMs and you'll get a huge surprise!

    Pros

Education reimbursement, the coffee is great.

    Cons

Be prepared to turn your work mobile phone and leave it on. Even during vacation. Management is treated like a farm animal. The employees have complaints that are real but management has to sell the "be positive" when its all nothing but negative. Wawa drains your life.

    Advice to Management

Somebody step up and be a leader.

    Pros

18 years working at wawa, I gained many friends, many enemies, carding kids, lol. Working for a pay check I was able to pay my bills. I have not really had any good approach come from wawa,

    Cons

If your not a store management "pet", it can be difficult, due to my awful experience as employee, I will stop there, as 17 years has alot of cons for me.

    Advice to Management

Retrain store managers, treat employees better, remind them what there jobs are.stop favoritism acknowledge employees past 15 years with wawa, don't advertise opportunity, that will never be given, corporate recognized lasting employees, so much more, could change for better. 18 years of struggle dedication, to dredge going to work is awful, change management behaviors, fair raises.18 years making 10.88, is awful.remember this- you get what you pay for. So many things to share, but nobody really listening

    Pros

    Weekly pay
    401k
    Stock option and profit sharing
    Customers

    Cons

Upper management plays favorites , as a general manager, once you reach a certain level , its all politics and the supervisors play favorites and discriminate against you based on age and sex. They like to claim they are a family company, its a lie. They screw every day hard working people all the time. Working for this pack of back stabbers and scum was a waste of time if you have a work ethic , work hard and want to advance. don't do it

    Advice to Management

live your values and and value your staff and managers. Your upper managers[ area managers} are worthless.

    Pros

    The people, and the customers

    Cons

You dont have enough space to write them all....management is awful, area managers lie, and have favorites. schedule is worse, no one listens to you, they expect you to come in on your days off, even if you have plans..cancel them is what your told, no accountability for poor performance, or attendance issues, pay is awful for everything you are expected to do, manager sits in office or stands at register and watches everything being done, then yells at you on salesfloor for not getting it all done, we want to get a union to help us fit the lazy managers and the horrible area manager

    Advice to Management

Really look at your area managers.....they protect the managers way too much, rather then dealing with the issues
