I have been working at Wawa full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Profit sharing is outstanding plus retirement matching. You work in a place customers want to be and 99% are pleasant and glad you're there...there's always the 1%. Day goes quick. Wawa is a SOLID company committed to never being publicly traded.

    Cons

In stores it is a 1000% customer service game-on every minute, especially in busy stores. You need to have the physical stamina and the mental patience or it is NOT for you. Also, weekends are a MUST and if you are a manager, you are at the mercy of changing business needs which may mean 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift and certainly long hours.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Compensation is very good. Monthly bonuses are directly from how you are performing in each aspect of the business, so you can control how well you do. Use the tuition reimbursement even if you already have a degree...adding another field of expertise is never a bad idea. They will tell you about Masters programs, but they're only allowed for home office or stores if you're Area Manager in Training or higher.

I have been working at Wawa full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Wawa does work as a family environment, there have been times when I would have family emergencies and they would always work with my schedule to help my family.

    Cons

All though the promotions that are given such as food or drink on sale is good, the down fall is that it is hard to keep up with. The labor hours are low which mean less workers and more customers trying to make happy with little co workers.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

management runs well, there isn't much more to advise. Or at least in my store there isn't anything to change as of now.

Opportunities to move up in the company, and gaining experience are pros.

    Cons
