    Pros

Good work environment, can be political, At the end of the day it's a job and it's steady and consistent and it pays half decent.

    Cons

Standard big business culture, can be frustrating, on call can be painful

    Pros

Salary and working conditions for my position are good. I've enjoyed all my direct managers, however upper management seems to reorg positions every year or so (not necessarily a bad thing).

    Cons

Uptight and not competitive about things like dress code, working remote. Very conservative throughout including running older technology. Recent economic downturn has seen many perks go away.

Wonderful people, raises have been very small

    Pros

I would say that over 85% of the people in the office are great. Just like in every work environment, there are always those few. The managers are wonderful (can only think of one that I thought was terrible, they handled that though) Overall, I still like my job and those that I work with. I will say that the amount of knowledge you gain is worth it. They encourage creativity and suggestions. They do listen to feedback, well, except for raises.

    Cons

Every year the raise get smaller and smaller. I have felt recently, no matter how much extra I have done beyond my assigned work is usually unrewarded or recognized (not referring to thank you notes, talking money). News Flash, thank you notes do not pay the mortgage. There are always headlines of wonderful profits, strong company, then comes review time....Manager tells you, "you're great" and lists all the wonderful accomplishments. Them bam 1%, 1.5%, 2%. Even though you may already be aware that the board has capped raises at 1.5% or 2% you always hope that some sorry, unproductive person an aisle over would get .5% and you would see a little more, after all, you have done so much. It's not just Wells either, it's all over. Companies are wondering how little can they feed the horse before it dies.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The management is great, some are remarkable. My only gripe is raises. Every year I have swallowed all the sacrifices I have made, being as productive as I could, cut costs, even finding money for the bottom line, and tried streamlining any process I could. Never really amounted to much for me. I have kind of given up, gave all I could give, and will be moving on.

Great company, but little growth in the future

    Pros

Very strong company values. We strive to do the best for our clients and provide the best service possible. Strong company values are incorporated in many aspects of daily work.

    Cons

Long hours especially during production. Production is monthly so the long hours are a regular occurrence. There is also a lack of direction due to the recent collaspe of the financial markets. There is no clear future for CTS and layoffs are expected in the near term. Employees have no hope for promotion or growth in the short term. Training could be better, but due to heavy production, many new employees do not get the necessary training.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Senior management need to forecast the market better. Rapid hiring and poor forecasting has led to mass layoffs which were easily preventable.

Great place to work...but not for an extended period

    Pros

Great place to get a technical backgorund/knowledge of the field. the learning curve is steep and much support is given during the first few months with a transition to more independent work occuring 8 months to a year after start. the best part of this is that the work can be complex so a feeling of satisfaction develops once job competency emerges. Also, management does take an interest in allowing employees to develop skills and encourages this development on a monthly basis. In the currwent market, it is nice to work dfor a bank that is not in the news for its problems.

    Cons

Promotions are slow in coming, so your current role may become tiring quickly.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please promote more frequently, many staff are leaving the company for better positions elsewhere.

    Pros

Because I work for such a large organization, there are opportunities for me to stay with the company, but at the same time explore different roles and gain other skills.

    Cons

    The hours can be long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't be afraid to invest a good amount of money in your employees to keep them happy and in their current positions.
