I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Great time off and Benefits

    Cons

Management was always changing goals and focuses, sales people were dishonest to clients,

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire and retain better people. A lot of people left who should have been managing stores and districts but were passed over for "top sales personnel" that gamed the system with False sales. A lot of lost talent.

    I worked at Wells Fargo

    Pros

    Good training and promotion opportunities.

    Cons

Management pushes sales goals way too much on tellers. This should not be the priority of a teller position.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Bring back the management style that Wachovia had. They were pro employee and treated everyone with respect.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Once one is part of the few elites, his/her job is secured.

    Cons

Upper management is not aware of how the lower managers treat their employees. A lot of favoritism taking place, as well as back stabbing. Hiring inexperience managers to oversee a department who cannot provide a clear guidance, and then holding the team members responsible for failing to meet requirements of the daily tasks. Also, targeting women over 40 to find reasons to fire them - they use every trick in book to justify terminating older women.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advise to upper management, John Stumpf, etc. is to investigate the unfair methods being used to get rid off honest, dedicated, and loyal employees just because the team leader and his patsies thought he/she was too old, or was making too much money. The unfair treatment of the employees is blatant, and people are afraid to voice their opinions for fair of losing their jobs.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Over 10 years at this company - plenty of opportunities to move around to other departments and gain new skills.

    Cons

Favoritism gets you the promotions - not job performance. Smooch as much behind as you can and you will go far!
Service and relationships used to be the motto of Wells, now it is sell and cross sell or find yourself another job.
Some managers are out of control and need to be put in line or removed.
HR is a closed door when you call on them for assistance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Start replacing your bully managers with respectable leaders or you will continue to lose great employees! Start treating your customers as those you have relationships with instead of just revenue numbers.

Unrealistic sales quotas force employees to badger customersand give them unneeded products and services.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

HR worked quickly in getting me in, training seemed decent and the base was higher than where I came from.

    Cons

super dead branch where the only customers are old folks who don't bank online. Sales quotas for tellers and bankers are completely unrealistic. Management is lazy, angry and not well skilled. Mine has no interest in getting to know customers, let alone helping them. District management browbeats them into submission and thus the pattern rolls downhill. Hostile work environment and crap morale throughout. Angry customers actually use branches less conveniently located because of the cancer of incompentence that engulfs the place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Change the culture of piling superflous products on unsuspecting customers and get some managers who actually work hard.

    Pros

Easy to gain employment and benefits. Easy job, fun to interact with customers and people.

    Cons

Never can use time-off. Moving up is primarily based on meeting sales goals. Very sales oriented.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advise for upper management is that they need to be less sales oriented. Often it is expected to sale 'products' to customers who really do not qualify and do not understand what they are signing up for.
