I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Great room for advancement. If you are great with customers and love to sale, you will do great. If you don't have customer services skills and don't like to sale, don't waste your time. This company is a great company to work for but they are sales and customer orientated.

    Cons

Depending on the district you may be placed, you may have an amazing management staff or the worst. If you don't meet your sales goals (may I say they are ridiculous, how many accounts can someone really open?) you will be placed on a warning and quickly pushed out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't forget at one point or another, you were in a bankers or tellers shoes. Also, stop with the fake accounts and pressuring bankers to do unethical things just to meet sales goals.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Flexible schedule, great atmosphere, great work place amenities, freedom to be an individual.

    Cons

The schedule requirements for weekend work days and lack of flexibility for sick time, vacation time. Once it was exhausted you had no alternative before termination.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Appreciate the employees who excel at their job performance and be willing to work with them on a personal level before jumping to the most extreme measure and writing them off.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

The leadership of the company is smart, albeit conservative, and they run the company with integrity. There are, I'm sure, plenty of people who disagree with some company policies or decisions, but overall, the people are smart and they care about each other and their customers.

    Cons

Wells is a very conservative and generally slow-moving culture. It's a blessing and a curse, because it has kept them from making major catastrophic mistakes in the past, but it also can be frustrating to work through the bureaucracy at times.

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great training, benefits, managers. Lot of Overtime. Great Incentives.

    Cons

When you get laid off they are not good at getting you into another dept.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you lay people off at least attempt to place your good workers in an another position instead of making them start over with the company

I worked at Wells Fargo full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

I loved working for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage because they consistently provided extensive training and education that directly affected my daily work responsibilities.

    Cons

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is a fast paced environment for professionals willing to do whatever it takes to succeed and help families succeed financially. If you're not an A+ personality type who loves sales...you may not want to work here.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Develop dedicated, loyal employees instead of letting new outside executives affect your retention of them.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It's a great place to start a career and really grow. If you are a hard worker and can be easily coached it's easy to move up in the company and get promoted. The training programs are great it's both in a virtual training classes and face to face classes as well. You learn a lot of great skills that can be used outside of work as well.

    Cons

If you are a hard worker it's easy to get sucked into working so many hours especially if you are salaried or when overtime doesn't matter. This makes it difficult to have a work-life balance because work becomes your life and then it starts feeling like a routine that you may get bored of after a while. So make sure to take breaks, have days off, and use PTO once in a while.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I think it's great when upper management interacts with all their employees by doing store visits and actually knows us by name. More recognition events would be great and more team building events for all employees not just management.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time for more than a year

    Pros

It was a great pleasure working for Wells Fargo, the environment was comfortable and all staff worked at the same level of respect. My direct manager was very understanding, straight to the point with directions and encouraging most of the time. Salary, Insurance and life benefits were all good.

    Cons

At the time this company was shifting our jobs to different state. A new manager was hired and began doing serious changes. We were left out wondering for a period of time what's going on and with no clues they cut off our PC's applications and files. Then they lay-off around 200 people at the same time without warning. That was very disappointing since most of us needed that job and we were so good at it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It would more beneficial if employees are informed with corporate changes ahead of time.
