I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good entry level job in corporate world, upward mobility, flexible schedule, benefits and paid time off.

    Cons

Large portion of bonus not based upon individual skill but on team results. Continuous change in policy due to senior management. Pay is not representative for what is asked in certain roles or results. High Turnover

    Advice to Management

Make individual efforts count more, lessen the amount of policy change that occurs quarterly. Continue providing the benefits and upward mobility.

I have been working at Wells Fargo as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

The training that you receive from this program is very comprehensive. You have access to senior members of the company. The office culture is excellent.

    Cons

While San Francisco is a really great place to work, it is expensive. The internship pays much better than others, but it is very difficult to afford to live in the city.

    Advice to Management

The training program that you provide the summer financial analyst is very helpful. I wish there was someone within the company or office that assisted in finding housing for interns or full-time analysts, especially if they have to travel from out of state.

I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Wells Fargo has an amazing culture of professional development. I've worked for WF for about 10 years and have been fortunate enough to get promoted 7 times. All of my manager's have been my advocate and really pushed for my personal and professional development. This is due to the culture that WF has created around team member development. WF's commitment to diversity and inclusion is great as well. They promote hiring diverse candidates and have so many outlets for their employees to network with other employees of similar backgrounds and affinities. Benefits here are second to none!

    Cons

The only negative thing I have to say about Wells Fargo is that their salaries are not competitive with today's marketplace. I know banks need to watch their expenses to maximize profits for shareholders. With so many companies like Google and Facebook offering such high salaries I don't feel like WF is missing out on some quality candidates by lowballing the salaries.

    Pros

Extensive organization with numerous career opportunities in various fields from marketing, technology, finance, risk & compliance. Many opportunities to build a professional network across cross-functional areas.

    Cons

Complex organization. Decision making can be protracted and difficult to get things done given size of organization and numerous competing priorities.

    Advice to Management

Continue to stream line decision making authority.

Great coaching and feedback which helps you get better at finding and presenting great products or services to your customer/client.

    Cons

It can be long hours and sometimes you do have to work on Saturdays. Hopefully you have a great manager that rotates the saturday with everyone.
