    Sales, sales, sales!!

    Teller (Current Employee) Austin, TX

ProsNational company; makes it easy to transfer.

ConsThe only thing that matters to management is your sales numbers.

Advice to Senior ManagementConsider other qualities in employees other than their sales performance.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm optimistic about the outlook for this company

    BAD work hours

Service Manager II (Former Employee) Beaumont, TX

ProsAble to work with great people that are wanting to advance in their careers.

ConsHOURS, PAY, SALES PUSHING and not being able to spend anytime with my family due to work

Advice to Senior ManagementWhy were we open on Saturdays until 2 pm? I was at a very large branch that was really busy!!! Were were next door to a large mall. After 12 on Saturdays we could count the number of people that came in or called on one hand. So, why were we open so late? The company was just losing money. It was a stressful position in any retail position because of the push for sales! Everything was sale, sale and sale some more. You could have a really good day in sales, then the very next day have half of that and upper management would tear you a new one. It would of been better if upper management would leave you alone as long as you are making your goals and getting pay out. Also, our DM would promote employees based off of their sales numbers only! So we would have branch managers/service managers in their roles that had no idea what they were doing!!! We had 13 stores in our district and 4 failed their audits! That should of told you something!!!

Ok Part-Time Job For a College Student

    Teller (Former Employee) Austin, TX

ProsThey were super flexible with my school schedule every semester. I had most weekends off, and met some really great people.

ConsThey push sales way too hard, it was their number 1 priority, not customer service. It was bad enough to leave the job. My managers were stressed and pushed too far for the sales. I had the assistant branch manager scream at me and make me cry, because he said i "looked" at him with disrespect. One of the worst experiences in my life.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhat happened to customer service? It was just push push push sales, even if they didn't need anything.

Awful experience my manager must of been on prosaic or Lithium.

Mortgage Collections (Current Employee) San Antonio, TX

ProsThe employees and how we facilitate to motivate each other,

ConsIf management likes you then your fine if not looked to be fired, Management is tight and covers each other backs even at the expense of the workers, Management has asked fellow coworker to work out the profitability of FMLA personnel to see which they were going to axed. Wells Fargo turn over rational in my class since there is three left out of twenty two, They say care and there for the people don't believe a word of it.

Advice to Senior ManagementWalk your talk and maybe Wells Fargo will have a better reputation.

    Horrible management, great co-workers

    Teller (Former Employee) Bellaire, TX

ProsThe system was very easy to get accustom to. All the tellers and bankers were great people and easy to get along. Pay was decent.

ConsHorrible manager. Taking 15 minutes off lunch breaks until sales increased, pretty sure that may have been illegal.

It paid well, but not well enough to overcome the constant push for sales.

Bank Teller (Former Employee) College Station, TX

ProsIt is decent pay as a part-time position. Hours and working days are great. Holidays off (but not paid). Looks great on a resume if you can hang in there. Coworkers are typically competent and great folks.

ConsThere's not a ton of opportunities unless you plan to be a banker or bank manager forever -aka not a diverse set of job opportunities. The rules are strict, reasonably so, but the practice is not.

Kiss your Bonus good bye and then your Job for not reaching it.

Inbound Sales (Current Employee) Westlake, TX

ProsPossible to grow and promote from within.

ConsExtreme goal oriented driven, micro management constantly watching and grilling you why your not hitting goals, smaller bonus's. They continually raise their goals your required to meet to even bonus, but remove products or ways to reach your goal. The only way you can reach your goals is to work O.T. and that's only when its available, otherwise kiss your bonus good by and then get written up for missing it and after 3 your fired! When Wachovia became part of us, you all got to big an now the customers are lost and forgotten, as well as all the employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to the calls we get from C.S. and then YOU try to provide service to a pissed off customer because they were lied to coming to you. When the reason for their call was never taken care of, yet we are responsible for getting a product sold to them or be reprimanded. What is wrong with this picture? On another point...You all have gotten to big and the little customer is dismissed and fee'd to death, what happened to appreciated our customers? What happened to not being a number? What happened to the old W.F. I use to work for? Shame, shame....

ProsGOT PAID... also I was promoted.... so if you can handle the pressure they do promote

ConsTHE sales pressure was over the top

Was happy with the position I was hired for until I was moved during training to a a similar but unrelated position.

Mortgage Underwriter (Current Employee) Bedford, TX

ProsLarge company with many different career options.

ConsLarge company with little care for the employee. Internal position postings are more of a joke than an option.

Advice to Senior ManagementWhen someone excepts a position with a company the expect to continue down that career path. Alterations to this should not be made if it can be avoided. If nothing else can be done give this person the option to move back into the role they were hired for in the first place in it comes available.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
