I have been working at Wells Fargo full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

A lot of opportunity to grow. 401k options are good. Array of products especially in business lending, are great.

    Cons

In retail, relationship banking is not a priority, selling "widgets" are. Store mgrs are given a lot of autonomy, so they can be your best friend or worst enemy. So far two mgrs I have worked with, leave a lot to be desired. Health benefits just took a big turn for the worst in 2014.

    Pros

WF is a great and strong company to work for. Training is very good. Get to interact with customers first hand. Really get an understanding of the banking industry and how there money is made. Great benefits and discounts as well.

    Cons

The only problem I have is Bankers are slightly underpaid for how much sales and customer service maintenance is performed

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    A little bit higher pay.

    Pros

The hours for the Welcome Call dept were awesome, Just got off too late. Wish they would have 10hr shifts that started earlier than 8AM. The 4 days a week, 10 hour days were good. Because we'd get a 3 day weekend.

    Cons

Working until 9PM, promotions weren't happening they should have been for employees who are proving themselves.

Former Employee - Foreclosure Notary Public in San Antonio, TX

I worked at Wells Fargo as a contractor (more than an year)

    Pros

Good place to work. Great coworkers offer a good balance of work life and social work atmosphere. Offer good pay for the work you do, and good hours.

    Cons

This job can tend to be a bit "click-y" if you will. There seem to be a lot of office politics going on, and if you're not careful you can be sucked into it all, and management is no exception to the politics.
