I worked at Wells Real Estate Funds full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The company culture is a one of a kind. It was truly like working with a big family. From the unbelievable benefits, work life balance, and family first atmosphere, I couldn't have asked for a better place to work. A lot of PTO offered and can be accumulated over time, free healthcare, and great team and company building events. The CEO, Leo Wells, is a true leader and inspiration for me and have had a huge impact on my life. Having happy employees, leads to great products and service

    Cons

Employees were a little misled or uninformed on the company status until it was a little too late. Company couldn't really adapt to a changing business tactics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the employee and culture driven attitude. Make sure to operate from the heart and soul

    Pros

I've never been around such great people as during my time at Wells REF. Everyone was willing to talk to anyone and everyone always seemed happy. Vacation and benefits were the most generous of anywhere I've ever heard of

    Cons

a lot of the issues with the non-traded REIT world and the upcoming regulations are because of how Wells handled their first two products.

    Pros

Leo Wells, the owner, really cares about his employees and tries to consistantly give the best benefits available to them.

    Cons

The senior management tends to not share a 'single-focus' with the rest of the company. There are many silos which at times can cause unnecessary disfunction overall

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Set a corporate goal and share the plans with the staff. Use the expertise available in the company and allow it to grow.

    Pros

Very trustworthy and dependable group of people that will always work with you to help alleviate problems or issues that arise.

    Cons

Their VERY conservative investment platform limited their growth in multiple markets and made upward mobility or career advancement very slow.

    Pros

Culture is pretty good and encouraging. They reward good performance and have an excellent health care package. Overall, its a fun place to work.

    Cons

Not many. The company sounds like it might be shutting down, so that would be a big con. Other than that, its a good place to work.

    Pros

Great benefits, people and worklife balance. Not micro-managed in my department. Flex time as well as working remotely a great advantage with the Atlanta traffic.

    Cons

Company is downsizing and many people have lost their jobs and/or will lose their jobs. Little opportunity for advancement. Some departments do not have the same flexibility as others as far as flex time or working remotely.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Need better communication throughout.
