I have been working at Wendy's (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunities, the people you work with become your family, flexible hours for going back to school.Discounts on food.

    Cons

Hard work with not enough pay. No insurance through company. No benefits. Minimum wage. Managing every ego in the place

    Advice to Management

The hardest thing about any management job is that you have to manage every ego in the store to run a good speed of service to maximize profits.

I have been working at Wendy's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Competitive pay, nice coworkers, good hours

    Cons

This is really hard work. Dealing with people is never easy. Be prepared.

    Advice to Management

Create more incentive programs to reward employees who go above and beyond to do good work. I know there isn't always money to give raises so create alternatives to keep employees happy.

    Pros

This job teaches you how to develop your conversational skills as you speak with people of all ages and transforms you from an introvert to an extrovert.

    Cons

Some customers can be total a**holes, excuse the language. Some are dumb, and argue when they're obviously wrong. Others take advantage and make up lies to get free/extra food.

    Advice to Management

Well, first, if you have a full time worker, schedule them for full time hours instead of hiring more people. I don't see the point of giving a full time worker part time hours but then hiring even more students that'll work part time.

    Negative Outlook

I have been working at Wendy's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Friendly Co-workers and that's about it.

    Cons

32nd and S Washington Wendy's are run by some of the WORST people to ever exist. Schedules have been changed on employees MID-SHIFT WITHOUT NOTICE, raises are few and far between, and if you do get a raise, it's not performance based, it's strictly because management likes you, and it's not even that substantial of a raise. NEVER WORK HERE.

    Advice to Management

Start caring about your employees and stop being so self-centered.

I have been working at Wendy's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Easy to work around my school schedule, positive environment, some recognition of work, easy online training, good relations with other coworkers.

    Cons

Difficult to get a raise, and when you finally do all of the training to qualify for a raise it may take weeks to months before they even check. The largest raise you may receive is only $.75 more than what you started with. Promotion of the wrong people.
