    Friendly service with a smile.

Crew Member (Current Employee) Monticello, IN

ProsMost of the staff is really great and fun to work with, including most of management. Everyone seems to enjoy working there most of the time.

ConsIt is hard to get 30 to 40 hours there because they want people to be part time.

Advice to Senior ManagementHave a computer screen for the fry station, it is hard for the fry person to hear every order from three areas! And get better ventilation for the fry area....it is always smoky.

one of the most responsible fast food chains ive ever worked at.

Crew(Manager In Training) (Current Employee) Phoenix, AZ

Prosthe crew i work with is excellent. the managers do their jobs, and so does the crew. hours are great, raises/reviews every 6 months. i make 9.20 and ive been here for a month and a half. minimum wage right now in arizona is 7.90 (07/17/2014). uniforms are classy and comfortable, customers aren't rude, great environment to work in. we take pride in our work, everyone does. its our responsibility. promotions are handed out like candy depending on how well you work. you can rise to a direct manager/general manager within 2 years.

Conshard to ask for breaks, drama here and there, gm stresses out a lot.

    Brief Time At Wendy's

Register/Sandwich Maker (Current Employee) Lansdale, PA

ProsI was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the standards and cleanliness of working in fast food. It may have only been a summer job for me, but I thought I was going to dislike it because everyone jokes that having a fast food job is the lowest of retail jobs, but it's really not. I'm never on the same station, so I'm not stuck doing the same job over and over again, I get to be in charge of the quality and cleanliness of the my station which is upheld by my bosses which I believe helps to give fast food a better image than what's currently out there.

ConsMy main con is lack of consistency with scheduling, by that'll change from one Wendy's to the next. An overall concern would be if you don't catch on to the way things are run in about 3-4 days, I wouldn't say this is a job for you. If you are a fast learner, it'll be a simple job that's worth while.

Advice to Senior ManagementI would definitely make sure that all employee's get the same training, so that older employees aren't practicing old rules, while new employees are learning new rules, so that the consistency is the same.

General Employee (Current Employee) Somerset, KY

ProsThey work with all your needs on schedules. I am able to go to college and hold a full time position.

ConsAlot of drama and nonsense, feels like high school all over again.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your employees with more respect. Understand they have a life..not just to work there. Also, keep the drama down.

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

ProsPeople, company values, commitment to excellence, strong HR team; brand recognition, brand trust, strong franchise organization and partnership between company and franchisees

ConsNew senior management seems disconnected to the things that have made the company great. Have lost a lot of key talent in operations, human resources and marketing

Fast paced and good part time place to work

Crew Member (Current Employee) Toledo, OH

ProsYou can request days off if you need them but they need to be at least a week in advance. Pay is not the best but they always give you hours

ConsCan be very very fast paced at times. You don't get raises ever. Some times when you call off they still tell you that you need to still come in which sucks when you sick or something. Pay is not the best so a lot of people have seconds jobs to help pay bills etc.

Advice to Senior ManagementGive pay raises to employees who have been there a long time and have the experience or if they have been there just a short time but show they are willing to work and when they work they are very hard working and always listen to the manager they should get a small pay raise so they may stay with the company longer and make a career out of it. I have heard all to often how people are looking for other jobs because of the pay or because of how long they have been there and how they haven't gotten a pay raise and I even heard that from a manager that they were looking for another job because they have been there a long time and have not gotten a pay raise or another look at they're pay etc.

    Its a fast food job

Crew Member (Current Employee) Riverton, UT

ProsFlexible hours, decent food, 50% off discount, Easy to get a hang of.

ConsSome managers have no idea what theyre doing, It can be very stressful at times, pay is bad, is often short people to work at any given time.

Advice to Senior ManagementMake sure the people hired are reliable and don't call out all the time, leaving the store short. Also check up on your managers. I've worked with some of the most under qualified and lazy people ever, and their responsibilities fall onto the crew members.

    Not a bad starter job

Wendys Shift Manager (Current Employee) Tilton, NH

ProsPlenty of room to grow and advance, plenty of training available

ConsFavoritism, no benefits unless you're a store manager, pay isn't good

Advice to Senior ManagementStop playing favorites and promote people who deserve it not your friends. Hold people accountable for their actions.
