I worked at Weston full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Support staff really worked hard as a team.

    Cons

Extremely top-heavy Management only looks out for themselves and looking good to each other. The office had an all employee party to announce another management restructuring. This was to make inter-office collaboration more effective and be a really great opportunity for everyone. Two hours later the new management team started firing people. Managers don't know and don't want to know what their people have to do to get the job done. Instructed to write a detailed job description, but manager never cared to review it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

No advice. They fired most of the support staff so now they only have each other to "manage".

I worked at Weston full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good pay and benefits. Interesting and challenging work.

    Cons

Long hours. The client was everything and the employee was nothing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to use the talent that you have found. I saw many people that could not contribute that are still on your payroll and others that were key to the success that were discarded.

    Pros

Good benefits, ideas, work environment and ethics. Chances to learn new concepts are plentiful. There are chances to advance in the company.

    Cons

Management issues. "Trial by Fire" attitude when it comes to new / inexperienced employees; at least in the office I worked out of.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at Weston full-time

    Pros

Varied Gov't opportunities to seek business from. The company believes in reimbursement of expenses. A lot of collaboration.

    Cons

A slave driver when it comes to proposal work! Many times ...very unorganized when there is a lack of resources. A lot of chiefs and no indians. Forget about getting sleep and family when working on a proposal. Can bring your health down if you don't watch it! Company started to have problems paying vendors! Money problems on the rise!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get more qualified resources. Train properly and don't be quick to let employees go when you didn't truly invest the time and money in proper/adequate training. Don't let egos and power tripping get in the way of a great employee being an asset to your company. Treat others as you'd like to be treated!

I have been working at Weston full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Everyone is really nice and you get really good experience. They invest a lot in their employees and want them to provide only the best work. Good benefits and easy going management.

    Cons

Personally, I was pigeon holed on the wrong project. When this project would slow I felt high and dry with barely any billable work because I had been dedicated to one project and made almost no other contacts with coworkers. Experience wise I was behind of where I should have been after working there for the amount of time I did. Make sure your hired to work on multiple different projects and you will be fine!

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Allow employees to be crossed trained more. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Employees will produce better work if they don't feel like repetitious machines locked in a cubical doing admin work with scientific degrees.

I have been working at Weston full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great benefits, smart employees, smaller and potential to wear multiple hats

    Cons

Scheduling conflicts, under bidding, tight budgets, mainly federal contracts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Train. Train. Train. Incorporate employees into everything that is happening within the company. No secrets.
