    I have been working at Westpac Banking

    Pros

    Easy hours, mostly start at 8.30am and finish no later than 5.30pm but if you need to finish earlier this is not a problem.
    I worked with great people who were very considerate of family and allowing time off where necessary.

    Cons

    Sales targets are no fun.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    pay attention to those motivated employees looking for career progession and you wont lose so many employees. Also have relieving staff for illness and holidays

    Technical teams in technology has really good work-life balance, friendly team and supportive culture. Lots of networking events, good for career development and seeking support.

    great staff benefits including mortgage discounts. shiny head office building

    have to deal with a lot of bank tellers etc. as it is a retail bank

    Very warm work atmosphere, supportive environment, easy to excel for hard working and committed employees.

    Sometimes lacks performance culture, and has a consensus-driven decision making process. Lots of great ideas, sometimes poor follow-through.

    A collaborative and performance driven culture
    Mostly nice and smart people
    Many job opportunities across the Group (made more readily accessible by the endless restructures)
    Good remunerations, even though salary and bonus increases not what they used to be

    Political skills are your best ally to make your way up
