I have been working at Weyerhaeuser full-time

    Pros

I know I would be great at this job because I've done everything they describe in their requirements for so many years.

    Cons

Probably just getting acclimated to a new environment.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't miss out on this guy. I have the knowledge, experience, and leadership skills to perform this position at a very high level. I also am self motivated. So I need very little direction. Outstanding communication skills. I never miss work. Follow PTA policies as required.

I have been working at Weyerhaeuser full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The benefits negotiated through collective bargaining with the union eases the worries about retirement and health care costs.

    Cons

Weyerhaeuser was at one time a family owned and operated company and the employees were part of the family. Now that its a huge corporation it purely financially driven.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Step back, take a deep breath and think about what makes making money possible. Productive, happy, healthy employees!

    Pros

Everyone that works at corporate HQ is very nice. There are lots people who have been working there for 20+ years. I work with someone who has been there over 30 years. So many old timers mean they value their employees. They also still have a pension plan!

    Cons

I have not experienced any yet. However I have not been there long.

I worked at Weyerhaeuser full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

A lot of good people work here. Unfortunately a lot were also lost when they did a corporate downsizing in 2010.

    Cons

Management will force business changes down from the top without imput from the rank and file on how it will impact their business.
Management feels no other competitor can offer what they do but your customers know better than that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to your employees concerns when they question radical changes. You won't have to back peddle when you find out you forced changes through from the top that didn't work.

    I worked at Weyerhaeuser

    Pros

They are one of the few companies around that still offer pension. They value their employees and respect one another.

    Cons

Because it is a big company, perhaps there is still politics involved. However, it did not affect me that much.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep up the good work, I think all the leaders are well-apt, and take pride in doing what they do.
