    Pros

Vacation time is plentiful. There is a pension and 6% 401k match.

    Cons

There is not much diversity in the company, especially in upper management.

    Advice to Management

Review/evaluate employees' past experience thoroughly before assigning them positions.

    Pros

Great office location, semi-flexible hours, professional, many people are hard working and really know their jobs well!

    Cons

Management has their favorites and promote them faster than believable, HR must not be watching. The old Transco people that still work at the company barely work at all, mostly play games, go to lunch and take off on Fridays!

    Advice to Management

    Clean House!

    Pros

Depending on the team you work in, there truly is a community/family feeling among co-workers. It is an engaging place to work.

    Cons

The long term benefits are extremely slanted towards the older generation. There are not many incentives for younger employees to come work here.

    Advice to Management

When asking your employees to back fill positions in cost cutting efforts, you should still compensate them in some way. You can't expect them to give double the work on the same salary long-term.

    Pros

Having previously worked in Public Accounting for over 10 years, I definitely enjoy the work life balance, the flexibility to work from home when needed and the health and retirement benefits of working for a large employer.

    Cons

Lack of opportunities for advancement. Organization was "flattened" a few years back. As a result the opportunities for manager roles was reduced.

    Advice to Management

Ensure you maintain the "tone at the top" in all areas, including as it relates to Holiday Parties.
