    I have been working at Williams-Sonoma as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

    Lots of knowledgeable people within each department who are always willing to help out when they can or when time permits. Great company culture, the focus on products that are sourced locally, that are fair trade, and partnering with companies that have good labor practices is something I felt good to be apart of.

    Cons

    At times, micromanagement can be an issue that interferes with getting work done although that depends on the department and not a reflection on the company as a whole.

    Pros

    Fun atmosphere, really great store manager and assistant store manager.

    Cons

    The hourly wage is pretty low, but the discount is great. I guess you just work to shop!

    Advice to Management

    Make sure to provide the little 15 min break for everyone.

    Love the people I work with. Proud of the brand. Beautiful stores, product, and marketing.

    Systems, efficiencies around process, calender, salary.

    Pros

    Manager is amazing, pay and insurance is really good. Management team works hard but few part timers work as hard as they should.

    Cons

    You are expected to meet goals that are not realistic due to payroll cuts and other tasks that take too long to accomplish with too few people to help customers.

    We either need more payroll to have more associates on the floor or less required tasks and in depth floor set changes.

    Pros

    Great staff, supportive and fun GM, amazing product and discounts. A great place to work where one can expand service level capabilities, fulfillment and merchandising strategy and staff development.

    Cons

    Obviously limited upward mobility past the ASM postion in a set market. Holiday hours and truck fulfillment days can be long. A challenge developing change within such a large set organization

    Advice to Management

    Incentive employees more, create more training and advancement opportunities
