    I worked at Williams-Sonoma full-time

    Pros

Great discount. Co-workers that become your friends. Good quality of products.

    Cons

Driven to make numbers all the time. Never really a day off if you are in management, be ready to work if there is an issue.

    Advice to Management

Support the people that give you so much of their time and talents.

    Pros

Wonderful Products, Friendly environment, Knowledgeable Staff and Customers.

    Cons

Company preoccupied with how store is set up (floor-sets, changing arrangements) instead of taking more time to sell items within store to customers.

    Advice to Management

Keep store clean and presentable. Spend less time on floor-sets and more time selling to customers. Drive the business.

    Pros

Fast paced environment with customers passionate about the products. Enjoyed introducing unique products to customers that enjoyed cooking and baking. Good employee discounts so we could get first hand knowledge of products to share with customers.

    Cons

Was told the shifts would be shorter than they really were. Management did not always seem to be interested in the customer; could not walk a customer to another part of the store to sell other items as we had to stay in our specific section.

I have been working at Williams-Sonoma part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

We have some of the best customers anyone could ever want. Associates are wonderful and it's a pleasure coming to work.

    Cons

Store GM is mercurial. Too much time and money spent on "perfect" visuals--but who ever bought because all the jars of a particular product are turned 10 degrees to the left, or stacked one row higher? Not me.

    Advice to Management

Need to be more positive towards employees.
