    I have been working at Winnebago full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Pay is pretty decent, most weekends off, benefits are pretty good although they go up in price every year. Plenty of personal time.

    Cons

    Don't work on line 1. Line one is the workhorse line and gets all the overtime. 50 hour weeks for months while the other 2 lines get 40. Also line 1 is where Saturdays are mandatory while the other lines maybe work 1 or 2 Saturdays a year. Also the line manager is very condescending and treats people like their lesser than him.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go down onto the floor and see what the employees are doing. See who is busting their tail to make sure things are done right and recognize good ideas. Also do preventative maintenance on machines so they don't break down and your employees don't have to put in 50+ hours a week to "make schedule"

    I worked at Winnebago full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    I had seven different bosses in 22 years, and all but one were great to work for. The job could be dirty and sweaty, but it was good overall.

    Cons

    Hours are very market driven so they can go from twenty hours overtime to four day weeks in a couple weeks, and when things slow down, they can and will look for excuses to get rid of a few people: Emplyee half-life is around five years; Crappy, over-priced health insurance;

    I have been working at Winnebago

    Pros

    they have plenty of holidays. you earn vacation quickly, oppertunities for advancement. easy going people. and the ability to make the best rvs in the market

    Cons

    short weeks due to it being a recreational industry and a slow economy. sometimes there is alot of back stabbing and gossip

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    the top management should be out on the floor more often to see what work their people are doing so they know you milking the clock and who really works
