    Pros

Good money with a lot of hours to work. You do not have to have a background in oil and energy, they will teach you how to work with it. Safety is HUGE to the company.

    Cons

It is a heavy labor job. Sometimes the managers can get behind in providing materials like tools, equipment, and resources in completing and performing jobs.

I have been working at Wood Group PSN full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Smart people, interesting work in local and international oil and gas projects. Practices what it preaches in terms of safety - reminded daily of the importance of a strong safety culture.

    Cons

Limited personal development opportunities at the moment due to limited work (on the back of slow economic conditions and lack of operator activity). Do not feel valued as an employee.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lacking in definition of defined career paths. Considerably more can be done to make employees feel valued - it's the little things that count.
