Oklahoma City, OK

Current Employee – been working at Wood Group

ProsVery friendly place to work. Obnoxious or unkind people are not tolerated and don't last here. Most managers are very flexible when it comes to needing time off for errands or family matters. Work life balance is important to most managers.

ConsThere is a shortage of strong individual leadership at the top. The team approach amongst top management is cumbersome and manifests as general indecisiveness. Philosophical changes roll in and out like the tide. They tend to bring in new management instead of promoting from within. Low to mid level managers are paid well below market values, and therefore, turnover is high.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop relying solely on sales and finance people for upper management positions. Become better at recognizing skills and talents of the current employees. Talented employees get passed over in favor of outside "Good Ole Boys". NEWS FLASH: Talented people work at other places besides Centralift and Reda.

Former Employee – worked at Wood Group

ProsExperience wide product ranges in rotating equipment, spread world wide, know well in the industry, challenging work environment (also a con).

ConsNo Team work, no time off considering staff are mostly working 7 days a week sometimes for months at a stretch (give me a break !!!)

Advice to Senior ManagementManagement should deligate decision making to the right people, should consider the necessity to provide a balanced life for the employees

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend
