It has been an amazing time working at Workday. The people are extremely friendly and are always willing to help.

    Intern (Current Employee) Pleasanton, CA

    ProsCommunity as a whole
    The work environment

ConsUpper management seems to abuse their power a bit much.

Advice to Senior ManagementDon't believe that because you are in a higher position, you will receive everything your heart desires.

Fun place to work, great employees, great technology

Associate Test Automation Engineer (Current Employee)

ProsWorking here is a great time. Lots of company parties, team outings, great culture and work-life balance.

ConsNot very competitive with pay, raises, RSU's, or bonuses. I've been here 2 years and I just received my first raise. It would have been a good first year raise, but after 2 years I was expecting much more. They also only give raises/promotions twice a year during performance reviews.

Advice to Senior ManagementProvide better compensation

    Everyone is Super Nice

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

    Pros-Friendly People
    -Fun Culture
    -Is growing rapidly
    -wants to get better
    - is killing the competition

ConsPeople who have been in management since the company started aren't up-to-date with the consumer app quality that Workday is aspiring for. It really holds it down.
Many of the new people hired come from places that Google and Facebook would not hire from.

Advice to Senior ManagementYou should be making offers to people from everyday brands to come in and help pick up some of the drag. Recruiting from similar companies to Workday will only bring the product down. Which I know Workday does not want.

    Good Experience, But Not Perfect

Software Engineer Intern (Current Employee) Pleasanton, CA

ProsThey supply housing and the pay is pretty good. Very good company to work for and they really invest in your development/ education as a software engineer.

ConsIt is a big company and sometimes you get lost in the shuffle or get bogged down in the corporate structure. They weren't extremely prepared for the fall interns with projects so there was some sitting around and waiting at times.

Great company, CEOs, product and co-workers!

Product Manager (Current Employee) Pleasanton, CA

ProsCEOs who believe in me and, unlike some others, are not weasels.
Everyone here is really smart and motivated.
Constant opportunities to innovate, as the kind of work we do has not been done before.
    Satisfied customers.

    ConsLong hours.
Not paid competitive to the market, but that is balanced by great stock options in my case.

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed some kind of sabbatical program for those of us who have been running at full speed for quite a while.
