I worked at WorkflowOne full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

I can NOT think of one thing. If you like doing nothing for eight hours then this place is for you. Company has the ability to get large contracts, and has, but looses them to poor quality or mistakes.

    Cons

Poor Management from the very top to the supervisor's in the plant. Expensive health care including high premiums and very high deductibles. Favoritism, if you are not one of the Production Managers buddies forget it, you will not last long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get a grip! Learn to change and make changes to make the plant better. Supervisors can not make a decision without calling someone even if it means a call in the middle of the night.

    Pros

There really isnt anything to get excited about. They are run horribly and the pay is horrible. Managers are complete idiots.

    Cons

Pay. Benefits. Working atmosphere. Management. Products. Generally there isn't any thing good here. Workflow one is dying and Tatman isn't going to change that.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Give up. You guys suck

I have been working at WorkflowOne full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There is truly only one pro when I think about my tenure at WorkflowOne. The coworkers. I have worked with several excellent individuals in over 5 years of working for the company. The dedication most of the employees show is way above average and most people work together to keep their customers happy.

    Cons

This company has an extremely negative environment fostered by demanding more work with less resources. I have never received a raise from this company in over 5 years of employment regardless of having excellent reviews each and every time. Every coworker I am in contact with is miserable in their job. The people are excellent but management insists on placing more demands on people rather than rewarding them for any of the hard work or dedication put forth. There is minimal if any training, employees are talked down to by management and it is insisted that you work many extra hours without any additional pay or incentive to do so. I truly hope that the merger with Standard Register will be a positive turn for this company, but for that to happen several key management personnel need to be eliminated or placed in different roles for the culture to change.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I truly hope that Standard Register realizes what an asset many of the WorkflowOne employees are and shows their appreciation more than previous management. Morale truly could not be worse so it would not take much to show the employees that you do care about them.

I worked at WorkflowOne as a contractor (less than a year)

    Pros

    Clean Environment.
    Strong focus on safety.

    Cons

Managment style is that of an authoritarian attitude.
    Poor training on software systems.
    Weak employment attendance by co-workers.
    Expectations not clearly defined.
    Poor motivational tactics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leaders lead by inspiring, teaching, encouraging and, in some respects, serving their employees. Good leaders never need to threaten. Set a good example, praise in public, criticize in private, respect your employees’ capabilities, give credit where credit is due. Don't treat your employees like children. Actively ask for feedback.

    Pros

Nice HQ facility and good people to work with, talent seems to be leaving quickly and good for them.

    Cons

Terrible horrible middle management.... Horrid. They have no idea how the business operates or what is going on most of the time, very reactive instead of proactive. There is no leader ship what so ever, management fighting with each other over silly political endeavors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

None..... Ignore this like all the other feed back you have received.

    Pros

Worked with a lot of great people who were willing to give 110% to get the job done.

    Cons

WorkflowOne has to be one of the most reactive company I've ever worked for. Management doesn't address any issues or concerns until it's a complete disaster. NO one on the management team is willing to stand up and take responsibility for his/her team. They are more conerned with how they can climb the corporate latter and don't care who they step on to get there, even if it's someone that reports to them. You can never get a straight answer about anything. They will tell you they will have an answer in a week and you may or may not ever hear back from the manager. The company operates as they did 20 years ago which is why they have already filed bankruptcy once. There's a constant revolving door of employees, anyone that's willing to actually work is either burned out by work overload or stiffled because managment doesn't want the individual to outshine them. There is a real problem with managment keeping everything a secret until "they" feel it's necessary to tell everyone. I never felt I could trust my manager to do what was in my best interest.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Clean house with middle management if you want this company to survive. Too many individuals with little or no management experience managing people and have no clue of what they are doing.

    Pros

The only pro is that I have a job

    Cons

They don't care about the employees. Constant cuts to the staff. Overloaded with work. Incompetent sales reps. Bringing on friends of friends who obviously should not be working here. Putting people in management roles who definitely should not be. Attitudes are horrendous. People constanly backstabbing each other.

Talented people in sales offices. Corporate Morale is toast. Great people are leaving there . The ones who are left are overworked

    Cons

Management is scared to death of making decisions. Allow dishonest, incompetent field managers to stay while the sales and support teams are decimated.

    Pros

4 weeks vacation, but been here 15 years

    Cons

The "Genesis" restructuring is the nail in the coffin for this company. They want sales to sell, sell, sell....but there is no one left to support current nor any new customers. Been working 12 hour plus days for months, yet no regonition, pay increase (oh yeah had a 10% cut!) or any action to improve the situation. Unfair workload...if you are in healthcare 12 hrs. is the norm while, non-healthcare ARM's work their 8-5 and take full hour lunches everyday! Sales reps and company takes you for granted.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognize your star employees and PAY them! Quit bringing people in off the street to do the same job and Pay them more! It is a slap in the face. ARM'S who can barely key in a requisition gets paid the same or more than the seasoned vets who do everything!
