Former Employee – worked at World Wildlife Fund
Pros – --EVERY OTHER FRIDAY OFF!!! Yes, throughout the year
--Lots of fun people of all ages.
--Fantastic organization that actually does good in the world. They are truthful about where they spend their money! It goes to good programs.
--While a hike from Dupont Metro or Foggy Bottom (15 mins each), nice location just past edge of G'town, close to West End and Dupont
--Managers can recommend you to monthly & yearly recognition programs
--Lots of brown bag info lunches; great for those actually interested in animals, environment, etc!
--Free gym in building
--Parking garage
Cons – --People stay there, so it can be tough to move up. New positions are rarely created.
--As above, 15 minute walk from Metros
--Every other year it seems offices move around. So you may have an office one year then get stuck in a cube.
Advice to Senior Management – --Keep up the recognition programs. It means a lot to the little people behind the scenes.
--Be kinder about moving departments to different offices. Those who earned a grade level and got an office may not get the office with the move.

Former Employee – worked at World Wildlife Fund for less than a year
Pros – The organization is very people friendly. It offers very good work-life balance options. It has many talented and nice people. Overall, I feel very happy everyday working there.
Cons – A little bit old-fashioned in the IT and communication aspect. I have only worked here for half a year. So far have not experienced much down sides .
Advice to Senior Management – Maybe more face time with ordinary employees. Again, the time is not enough for me make any suggestions yet.

Former Employee – worked at World Wildlife Fund
Pros – Family-like atmosphere, perfect opportunity to meet people in the energy and climate change field
Achieve some true personal values; work with people who don't only work for pay checks;
Cons – kind of slow paste, not that efficient, sometimes work can be repetitive; when doing basic level jobs sometimes not that fun; pay is limited given that it is Non-profit
Advice to Senior Management – maybe employees can work more efficiently and try to push the development of non-profit in China, especially on the governmental level
