    Pros

Good benefits, stock plan, and salaries. One of the few entertainment companies in CT if you want to work in the biz and live there. Free tickets to show, you get the week between Xmas and New Years off, and occasionally get to chat with Vince, Stephanie, or other stars, if that's important to you.

    Cons

There's a culture of fear and survival here. Your colleagues can be fine one day, then devolve into blame and finger-pointing when some VP who won't last more than 2 years gets upset over something that doesn't matter. People become frantic and everyone works to cover their butts. Moreover, you often have to work nights and weekends because senior management does just to keep their jobs.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

You have a talented employee pool who are afraid to come to you with ideas, yet collectively they have the answers to the problems you create and often can't solve.

I have been working at World Wrestling Entertainment full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

Full-time (not Freelance) employees have access to an excellent gym, campus is large and offers shuttle service to and from train station. Cafeteria is on the premises and if you work late for events you do get a food allowance and oftentimes, car service back home.

    Cons

Many projects with flawed strategies that would have implications on workflow, execution, employee attitude and and much larger issues. Lots of backstabbing and lack of ownership on projects. Very "cliquey" Relied very heavily on Freelance workers.

    Pros

The good part of working at WWE is the brand! Even if you're not a Wrestling fan, you can't help but be enthusiastic about the engine that sells wrestling. The Community group does a great job humanizing the organization with their efforts with the American Cancer Society and Special Olympics. Most of the wrestlers are great people and treat everyone respectfully and appreciative of the teams that support them!

    Cons

The corporate culture is horrible! The culture is one of blame and CYA. It is an organization that claims that they want process and innovation when in reality it is one that is driven by live TV/Network and can't sustain a process driven model of anything-whether it's creative, development or financial. The digital team doesn't have enough experience and depth to bring any product to life successfully -at least one that isn't fraught with defects and significant failures. The leadership team didn't care about the individuals, only that they produced and made them look good-certainly not about the team. I may have learned a lot technologically but it wasn't worth the 60 hour work weeks and lack of support and appreciation for those efforts.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people that are open minded, not chauvinists. Hire leaders not bosses and people that are interested in getting the job done and not blaming others for mistakes-encourage some failures. If the Digital organization was run the same way that Live Events were then the teams would be much happier and productive.

    Pros

Great junior level staff with ability to receive free tickets to the show. Additionally, the office is closed from Christmas to New Year's.

    Cons

Work from home discouraged, there is no work/life balance and promotions are incremental at best but not much incentive as it's better to leave to rise in your career.

    Pros

pay at higher end of scale by title... good health benefits...

    Cons

Culture is terrible... Manage through fear and intimidation... management is clueless and no one is willing to tell Vince what really needs to be done out of fear of being the next one chopped... nothing good happens when the founder is still running a publicly traded company and owns 70%+ of the voting stock... then no one can tell him "no", not even the Board of Directors... they like to manage based on how they want things to go, not what the market dictates... and be VERY careful if you have information to gibve them which doesn't support their narrative...

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

they wouldn't listen if I gave it...

    Pros

    Good Pay
    Overall good work atmosphere
    Flat organization, few layers
    Not meeting heavy, action bias
    Never boring, moves quickly
    Spends money on technology

    Cons

    Stuck in Glory Days
Needs to reinvent itself, but egos at the top won't change anything
Most people are lifers who have no fresh points of view.

    Pros

Smiles on childrens faces when they get to meet their favorite wrestler. The charity work that the company does is definately a good thing. Perks like tickets to events and merchandise for family members that are fans is also a great thing. People do always think it is pretty cool when they here I used to work there.

    Cons

Lack of pay, job security and management that swears and yells at their employees constantly. Numerous staff members were in tears daily and they were the good workers! They don't appreciate the work/family value system because the owners families are all working there. It's all about the business.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

It's your staff that is making YOU look good, they are the ones doing the work and coming up with all the great ideas - appreciate them once in a while or at least say thank you or give them the credit for one thing once in a while.

    Pros

Hm, well, they pay well (see list of "cons" for reasons why)
    Nice gym
You can get tickets to events - if you're into that sort of thing

    Cons

So, I don't think the managers here understand what quality of life is. They may not have any friends outside of work, that makes me sad, but also makes this a pretty crappy place to work. You may like working 20 hours a day, I just think you are an idiot.

Upper management is fully of idiots (mostly). Dumb decision after dumb decision and its never there fault, its always the lower levels

Fear of losing your job. All. The. Time. paralyzes staff from doing anything (see point #2)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get your head out of your ass? Learn from other people? Stop being jerks? Understand that you don't know everything and can actually benefit from input?

    Pros

Truly never a dull moment which makes it a fast paced environment. The day can fly by doing a variety of tasks.

    Cons

The management is beyond clueless and too worried about keeping their jobs to offer any mentoring to their team members.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management needs to communicate with their employees the state of the company. Too much is kept to a small few until the last minute. Also any type of mentoring would help employees grow and possibly become promoted.
