    Pros

    Free gym with classes; Great people and great friendships formed; Energetic and fast pasted; Free tickets to shows, if you can get them before they sell out; Entertainment industry and a location out of NYC; Very talented individuals working for the company; Great health benefits; Fantastic vacation time - except you are given a guilt trip every time you try to use it; Free shuttle service to/from train station if you can manage to work normal hours; Free dinner if you are working late;

    Cons

    Vince is a workhorse and doesn't believe in vacations, so employees are working constantly because he is; Upper management creates an atmosphere of fear, because they live in fear themselves and just have to be 'YES men' to appease their bosses; Extremely long hours, and you'll find yourself working even on your "vacation" unless you're out of the country with no email access, so work-life balance is very bad; Pay is terrible unless you have quit and come back at a higher level, or unless you have stepped on someone to get to the top; Product is worn out and old but the blame is always pointed at employees; A lot of gossiping and politics and inter-department wars; Some very young and immature employees; You will feel burnt out after working there for more than a year, only the thick-skinned will survive longer;

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay more attention to the people doing the actual work, and give credit where credit is due. You have talented individuals working for you that can solve all your problems if you just give them a chance.

    Pros

    The brand is solid and the employees are a class act and show great teamwork.

    Cons

    Management is awful. Total lack of leadership. People in senior roles have very little competency for their responsibilities. Senior management is only concerned about protecting themselves and in front of the CMO and Chairman. In addition the management team has no idea how to drive major initiatives. Content is stale with no excitement in sight. There is also a culture of fear that permeates the halls.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Turn the reigns over to HHH. Hire a new CMO that is forward thinking and a leader that people can believe in. Take the content back to PG 13.

    Pros

    I've met some of the most amazing talents here. They had a few very capable, passionate, fun and creative folks. Had they done more to keep them, things might have been different or more successful.

    Cons

    The entire place was managed by fear of upper management. There was a lot of bottleneck. Most importantly, the ones who were making the calls (or given exposure to influence the decisions of higher leaders) were not very knowledgeable. And any credit from success that came from the bottom up sat on the desk of the people who had nothing to do with it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Learn to see through all the noise to recognize those who are the true talents in the company. Create a culture that empowers these talents.

    Pros

    Beautiful office with a company parking lot, cafeteria, and an amazing gym,. There is an air of excitement that runs through the company when the big events happen and the months leading up to Wrestlemania are exciting. The company is entertainment based and that goes to keeping the working entertained too and all that can add to great office culture.

    Cons

    Long driving hours in some of the departments, which is why the company offers benefit of free parking, in house cafe and free in house gym. Its geared to keep you on site and working through lunch and late. Below management level employees pay for management mistakes- lots of mass layoffs yet the department heads jobs stay safe. They never change the way business is done and will never evolve- one department Royalty and Licensing- the department head has more turnover due to poor management style, inappropriate behavior towards both men and women yet he stays safe because he refuses to train people of divulge any knowledge of his position- his own payback is he will remain a director his entire career.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    There is no management to truly advise- although it is a world wide billion dollar company it is run like a mom and pop business and the family name is on the door- McMahon. Regardless of public trading Vince is the majority share holder and will make any and every decision until he dies in his $2,000 office chair.

    Cons

    Pros

    Incredible learning ground if you want to become a TV producer. You are absolutely given the chance to sink or swim from a very early point in your employment.

    Cons

    It is a politically charged atmosphere, where sometimes talented people are held back because someone knows someone. Hard to move up.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Better communication from the top on down would be the number one thing to improve upon

    I worked at World Wrestling Entertainment full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Great benefits, medical, 401k match, stock options, tuition, etc. Depending on the dept, you work with a good team. Fast pace, always changing entertainment environment.

    Cons

    They don't know how to make a real profit so every year they lay off employees. They only give Directors and above bonuses every year, money that could be uses to save a job or two. They run you into the ground with work load (from cuts) and performance based raises only get you 2.5-10% raise, not much compared to your salary. Hard to get to the top when they hire upper-management from outside.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Treat your worler bees better, give them bonuses. I was there for 6+ years and got one bonus. People don't feel like they are apart of the company, just the machine.
