I learned a lot about pharmaceutical research.

Anonymous Employee (Former Employee) San Antonio, TX

ProsIt is fast paced. It feels good to contribute to the possible discovery of life-saving/life altering medications.

ConsSome exempt positions require lots of overtime including nights and weekends. The timed environment can be stressful.

Advice to Senior ManagementPraise employees for a job well done. Thank them for their hard work and dedication on a regular basis.

ConsManagement does not have loyalty to its employees.

Advice to Senior ManagementSound advice would be to place a Mentor program for all new employees.

On a scale from one to ten, ten being the most positive, I would rate the company as a whole as a six.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Morrisville, NC

ProsThe company has a great understanding of the work/home life balance

ConsIt seems as if it's more who you know rather than your work habits and accomplishments in order to move to the next appropriate level/title

Advice to Senior ManagementListen to your employees with objective ears.

No, I would not recommend this company to a friend

They're Okay. Not the best. Not the worst.

Anonymous Employee (Current Employee) Morrisville, NC

ProsFlexible working hours. Great team atmosphere. Very supportive middle management. Casual dress. Senior Management provided team building excerises (trips to baseball games etc).

ConsIn a word- disorganized. Total lack of communication between departments and between senior management and regular employees. More focus required in the regards to the needs of sponsors.

Advice to Senior ManagementStop believing that the studies will run themselves once they are through start-up. This is simply not the case. This oculd be the difference between a completed study and a happy sponsor that will give the company repeat business.

    It's a Job

Research Technician (Current Employee) San Antonio, TX

ProsThey'll hire anyone for entry level lab experience. You stay busy. Great second job and good scientific/clinical experience. I highly recommend for college students. You make your own schedule.

ConsLow pay. Large company means disorganization. You'll find yourself many times doing the work of 4 people at times. Tedious and repetitive. Applied for coordinator position given my bachelors degree and was offered an interview for lab tech near minimum wage. Most unprofessional group of coworkers I've experienced.

Advice to Senior ManagementHire those qualified for certain positions and not to fill in gaps. More organization in this industry is vital.

    Crazy workload

    Anonymous Employee (Former Employee)

ProsYou learn a lot about clinical trials and work in a good professional and collegial environment. You gain a lot of experience, structural knowledge of the processes, experience of working in a team under pressure. This experience will definitely contribute in your professional future. Try to bear the rhythm and the workload for several years, be patient with every misfortune, kind to colleagues, support the weaker ones, understand your management, and you will be successful on your future way when you decide to move on. I wish you a lot of love to this company and the best of luck.

ConsWork/Life balance is excluded. Family interests are excluded. Vacations excluded. Truly for singles wiling to work clockwise and anti-clockwise :)

Advice to Senior ManagementNeed of more soldiers and less bosses, career development for the employees, "grown up" by WCT, rather than preference to the newly hired externals, and more developed system of internal procedures.

    ProsGood experience, great people.
You will learn the CRO industry really well if you take the time to seek out people and the information available.

ConsVery long hours and tight timelines. Management will work with you and try to accomodate various projects and conflicting deadlines.

Advice to Senior ManagementThere are some really great, smart people who work there. Do not forget about them. :)
