I worked at Xerox full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

From my experience, the best thing at Xerox - whatever department - is that they typically give an opportunity for employment to practically anyone.

    Cons

High turnover rate due to hiring too many for "permanent" employment that is actually seasonal, as well as hiring unqualified individuals (some straight out of high school with immature work ethics), as well as strict policies that are sometimes only upheld at deliberate times to rid tenured and loyal employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look at your employees as more than just a number! Require professionalism out of new hires, and offer more support for military families!

    Pros

    Friendly management,
Lots of activities for interns apart from work, work and fun balanced.

    Cons

Age gap between management and interns is very high,
Webster is a bit of a dull and gloomy city.

I have been working at Xerox full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great team locally to work with. Excellent time off and flexibility. Good benefits package and fair pay.

    Cons

Almost impossible to be considered for other positions within company. The application process doesn't allow for current employees to be considered before outside applicants. Some have applied for 50 + positions, that they are well qualified for, and don't even get an email.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay more attention to low-mid-level managers. We have a lot to offer and want to grow with Xerox. Allow those locations that are far into the black to give their employees much deserved raises.

I have been working at Xerox

    Pros

I like the benifits you can tap into working for a big company like Xerox. I work with high tech gear, and top notch people. We work as a team to solve complex issues and customer needs.

    Cons

You can get lost in the croud, if you don't make yourself known.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Xerox is very work centric, they could put a bit more focus on the life side of work-life balance.
