I have been working at YMCA part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

I love working at the ymca because they are flexible with my schedule and often offer extra working hours. The children range from 2 to 5 years old and they are awesome!

    Cons

The only con is that i would like full-time days and they don't offer full-time.

I have been working at YMCA

    Pros

It is a very relaxed work environment, not high pressure. The Y members and community are a joy to be a part of and hours are flexible if need be.

    Cons

Working at the Y, depending on branch, doesnt always offer great career opportunities. Although it is a perfect part time job for a student.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Keep it up! Every business has its flaws but the management treats its employees with respect and is very understanding.

    Cons

awful pay for the amount of work done, random shifts, any higher up jobs usually require a bachelors degree

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at YMCA part-time (more than a year)

    Pros

-great compensation for what it's for.
-the ability to meet new people and interact with them on a daily basis.
    -room and board payed for.
    -chance for growth.

    Cons

-The Higher ups aren't always the best to deal with.
-Not Everyone knows what they are doing.
-room and board are payed for but there isn't always food.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If there were a way to get things more organized and planned out better. Weekly full staff meetings. Or even monthly. Just to go over what is ahead and what to expect. Make sure that everyone is on the same page and no one is left in the dark.

I have been working at YMCA full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

If you enjoy working with children and young adults in a variety of capacities, this is the place to work. The environment is very friendly and there is a strong present of leadership support.

    Cons

The pay can be better, but we all know what that is like when working for a non profit. Your experience is based on the branch that you work for.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Higher pay rates for positions that require a bachelors and a masters degree. The people that work for the Y are extraordinary and should be well compensated for their work.
